Reputable Health’s Web Platform: The Control Center for Real-World Studies

About the Project

Reputable Health runs affordable, wearable-powered clinical trials that take place in people’s homes, not just in labs. The web platform is where this all comes together: brands define their protocols, operations teams manage participants, and clinical specialists monitor how each study is performing over time.

When Lumitech joined the partnership, the web platform already existed and was actively used, but it had grown on top of a codebase that was hard to change and, in many places, simply not good enough. While the first focus was on rebuilding the mobile app and AI engine, it quickly became clear that the web experience also needed to be aligned with the new technical standards.

Interesting Facts

01

The web platform is a single system where teams can set up studies, manage cohorts, and review results generated by the AI engine and mobile app.

02

For quite a long time, it was supported mostly by a single developer on the client side, while Lumitech rebuilt the rest of the stack around it.

03

After seeing how much the new mobile app and AI engine improved performance and reliability, Reputable Health decided to also refactor and partially rewrite the web platform.

04

The work is not a full “from scratch” rebuild like the mobile app, but a careful, step-by-step modernization to avoid disrupting ongoing studies.

Client Request

Reputable Health needed their web platform to feel like a modern command center for clinical operations. The request was straightforward but demanding:

  • Keep the platform running for existing customers and internal teams.
  • Gradually improve the structure, reliability, and UX so that study setup, monitoring, and reporting feel clear and predictable.
  • Align web behavior with the new mobile app and AI engine, making sure data and flows are consistent across the whole ecosystem.

In short, the web platform had to evolve without stopping the business.

Challenges

Legacy constraints

The existing codebase turned out to be more problematic than expected, with structures that made even small changes risky and time-consuming.

Live operations

Studies could not be paused. Any refactor had to respect the fact that researchers and brand teams were using the platform daily.

Alignment with new systems

As the mobile app and AI engine moved to new architectures, the web platform had to be adjusted to work smoothly with updated APIs, data flows, and compliance outputs.

Being honest, this makes web work less blocker-free than a complete rebuild but much safer for a growing startup with real customers.

Our Approach

Being very aware that the web platform was actively used every day, Lumitech and Reputable agreed on an incremental approach rather than a hard reset.

Stabilize first, then modernize: For a period, the existing web platform was kept alive by the client’s developer, while Lumitech focused on the mobile app and AI engine. Once those parts were solid, the teams shifted to the web layer.

Task-by-task refactoring: Instead of rewriting everything, the platform is now being broken into manageable tasks, cleaning up problematic modules, improving performance, and introducing clearer patterns step by step.

Shared language with other components: The same product thinking that drove the mobile and AI work is applied here. Every change asks: “Does this make it easier for brands to run studies and understand results?”

What’s more, this approach allows Reputable Health to keep onboarding new clients and running studies even while the platform is being improved under the hood.

Features

While still evolving, the Reputable Health web platform acts as the main workspace for:

01

Study design and configuration

Teams can define study parameters, participant criteria, timelines, and devices used in each project.

02

Participant and site management

Admins manage cohorts, track enrollment, and oversee how participants progress through each phase of a trial.

03

Monitoring and reporting

Web dashboards surface the insights generated by the AI engine and the data captured by the mobile app and wearables, helping teams understand whether interventions are actually working.

04

Security and compliance context

The platform is built with data protection in mind, supporting the kind of evidence that regulators expect from wellness and health claims.

Summary

Today, Reputable Health’s web platform is steadily transforming from a fragile legacy system into a reliable, evolving hub for modern clinical operations. While the mobile app and AI engine handle data capture and analysis, the web layer gives researchers and brands the place to orchestrate everything: building studies, managing participants, and making sense of results.

By combining incremental refactoring with product-minded decisions, Lumitech helps Reputable Health improve their admin experience without interrupting real-world studies that rebuild trust in wellness.
